General Inquiries

Ordering, payment, and account questions.

Choose your ring, select metal, size, and any engraving on the product page, then add it to your cart. At checkout, enter your shipping and payment details and confirm your order. You'll receive an email confirmation right away, followed by production and shipping updates.

Contact us as soon as possible with your order number. Because most pieces are handcrafted to order, changes or cancellations can only be made before production begins — once a ring has entered manufacturing, we may not be able to stop or alter it. If it's too late to cancel, you're still covered by our 30-day return policy once it arrives.

Email service@loveweddingbands.com or call (800) 754-3046 right away with both order numbers so our team can check before either order ships.

Most rings are handcrafted to your exact size, metal, and engraving rather than pulled from finished stock, so production time varies by design — check the product page for its specific make time. Once your order ships, domestic delivery is via free UPS 2nd Day Air.

We accept all major credit cards, Shop Pay, and financing through Affirm, which lets you split your purchase into installments at checkout.

Sales tax is calculated automatically at checkout based on your shipping address and the tax laws that apply there.

Yes. During checkout you can enter a separate shipping address. If you're shipping to someone else as a gift, we recommend letting your card issuer know in advance to avoid any delivery holds.

LoveWeddingBands is an online jewelry company rooted in New York's Diamond District since 2006. We don't operate a public retail showroom, but our jewelry experts are available by phone, email, and live chat to answer questions, walk you through sizing, or help you choose between options before you buy.

Yes. We ship to Canada via UPS Worldwide Expedited for a flat $60 USD, with delivery in about 2 to 5 business days, and to select other countries for a flat $90 USD, with delivery in about 3 to 6 business days. Duties and customs fees for international orders are the customer's responsibility, and ring resizing is not available on international orders. See our Shipping Policy for full details.

You'll receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number as soon as your order leaves our facility. If you can't locate it, contact our team with your order number and we'll resend the tracking details.

Wedding Bands Questions

Styles, engraving, finishes, and metal questions for our wedding band collection.

Comfort fit is a gently rounded interior profile instead of a flat one, so the band glides on and off more easily and feels lighter on the finger. It doesn't require sizing up — order your normal measured size.

Yes — LoveWeddingBands offers complimentary lifetime engraving on wedding bands and rings. Add your engraving text on the product page before checkout, or contact us if you'd like a symbol or a language that isn't listed as a standard option.

Our wedding bands are crafted from solid precious metal — not hollow, gold-filled, or base-metal-plated. White gold pieces receive a rhodium finish for their bright white color and shine, which is standard across the jewelry industry.

It comes down to color, durability, and maintenance. Platinum is naturally white, dense, and hypoallergenic. White gold has a similarly bright white look but needs occasional rhodium re-plating as it wears. Yellow and rose gold offer warm tones and generally need less upkeep. Browse by metal in our platinum, white gold, yellow gold, and rose gold collections.

Platinum is the safest choice for sensitive skin, since it's about 95% pure metal and contains no nickel. If you prefer gold, 18K gold contains less alloy (and therefore less potential nickel) than 14K gold. White gold does contain some nickel in most alloys, so platinum or higher-karat gold are usually better options if you react to it.

It's mostly personal preference, but there are some norms: women's bands are most commonly 2mm to 3mm, and men's are most commonly 6mm to 8mm. Wider bands (roughly 7mm and up) tend to fit more snugly than a narrow band at the same labeled size, so it's often worth sizing up a quarter to a half size — see our full ring size guide for the width-adjustment chart.

Many of our diamond band styles can be customized with colored gemstones in place of white diamonds, depending on the setting. Contact us with the product you're interested in for a custom quote.

Yes. Most matching sets in our His & Hers collection are also sold as single rings — look for the individual product link on the set's page, or contact us and we'll point you to the right listing.

Popular choices include names, initials, a wedding date, coordinates, or a short personal message. Available length and font depend on the band's width and design — the product page will show your options, or you can contact us for a custom request.

His & Hers Matching Sets

Buying a matching set as a couple.

Not necessarily — many of our His & Hers sets are available in matching metals like rose gold, white gold, yellow gold, platinum, and two-tone combinations, and some styles can be mixed. Contact us if you'd like a custom metal pairing.

Yes. Each partner should measure their own ring finger — don't assume one partner's size based on the other's, even if you wear the same size in other things. Since men's and women's bands are usually different widths, apply our sizing chart's width adjustment to each ring individually.

Yes — many of our sets pair a diamond women's band with a plain men's band, and we can also help you combine two different styles into a custom matching set. See our diamond matching sets or contact us to build a custom pairing.

Yes, we curate sets by price point, including sets under $500 and sets under $1,000.

Yes, as long as the individual rings are sold separately (most are). Note that metal batches and finishes can vary slightly over time, so if exact matching is important, we recommend ordering both at once or contacting us to confirm before your second purchase.

Engagement Rings

Settings, diamonds, and proposal logistics for our engagement ring collection.

We carry solitaire, halo, pavé, three-stone, and other popular setting styles, in a range of metals and diamond or gemstone options. Browse the full range in our engagement rings collection.

Yes — we understand engagement rings are often meant to be a surprise. We can ship to an address other than your home, adjust delivery timing around a proposal date, or arrange for signature release at a shipping location. Contact our team in advance to coordinate the details.

Yes, every shipment is fully insured from the moment it leaves our facility until it's signed for, at no extra cost to you.

Yes. Lab-grown diamonds are chemically, physically, and optically identical to natural diamonds, and typically cost 50-70% less — a popular choice for couples who want a larger or higher-quality stone within their budget. We also offer natural diamonds and moissanite; see our Diamonds & Gemstones collection to compare.

Yes — our Design Your Own tool lets you start with a setting or a diamond and build a ring to your specifications. Contact us if you'd like hands-on help from a jewelry specialist during the process.

We recommend it. Our Lifetime Warranty covers manufacturing defects, but it does not cover loss, theft, or accidental damage — a separate jewelry insurance policy or rider on your homeowner's/renter's policy covers those situations. Keep your receipt and any certification documents for your insurer.

Classic & Comfort-Fit Rings

Our Classic Rings collection: comfort fit, milgrain, engraved, and carved styles.

These describe the cross-section shape of the band. A dome profile is rounded on the outside, a flat profile has straight sides, and a Euro dome sits between the two with a fuller, rounded outer edge and a comfort-fit interior. Each is available across several finishes in our Classic Rings collection.

Milgrain is a row of tiny decorative beading along the edge of a band, giving it a vintage-inspired texture. We offer it on several classic styles, including milgrain wedding bands.

Yes, complimentary lifetime engraving is available on our classic bands, including our dedicated engraved wedding bands styles.

A tri-color band combines yellow, white, and rose gold in a single ring, often in a woven or sectioned pattern. See our tri-color gold collection for available styles.

Hand-braided and Celtic bands are built from woven or interlocking metal strands, giving them texture and dimension. Carved (stylish) bands start as a single band with a pattern cut or embossed into the surface. Because of their pattern work, both styles can be harder to resize invisibly than a plain band — mention the style to us before requesting a resize.

Diamonds & Gemstones

Diamond quality, sourcing, and gemstone options from our Diamonds & Gemstones collection.

Lab-grown diamonds are chemically, physically, and optically identical to natural diamonds — the only difference is where they formed. Lab-grown stones typically cost 50-70% less, which is why many couples choose them for a larger stone or better clarity within the same budget.

Cut, color, clarity, and carat weight are the four factors used to grade and compare diamonds. Cut has the biggest impact on sparkle, while color and clarity affect how "clean" and white the stone appears. See our 4Cs guide for a full breakdown.

Yes. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy on conflict diamonds, sourcing in compliance with the Kimberley Process and the World Diamond Council's System of Warranties, and we predominantly use recycled precious metals. See our full Conflict-Free Diamond Policy for details.

Certification is typically provided for diamonds above a minimum carat threshold, graded by an independent gemological laboratory on the 4Cs. Check the specific product page for the certification included with that item, or contact us if you need documentation for insurance.

Moissanite is a different mineral (silicon carbide) that's cut to resemble a diamond at a lower price point. It's very durable and brilliant, but has a different refractive quality and is not chemically a diamond. We carry both, so you can compare directly in our Diamonds & Gemstones collection.

We carry blue sapphire, pink sapphire, emerald, and other gemstone options, plus birthstone styles. See our Gemstone Guide to compare durability and care for each stone.

Jewelry (Earrings & Pendants)

Beyond rings — our jewelry collection.

Yes, our Lifetime Warranty against manufacturing defects applies across our jewelry, not just rings. See our Lifetime Warranty page for full coverage details.

Chain length varies by style and is listed on each product page. If you need a different length than what's offered, contact us to ask about available options for that specific piece.

Earrings are sold complete with their backing as shown on the product page. If you have metal sensitivities, look for platinum or 18K gold styles, or contact us before ordering to confirm the exact alloy used in a specific design.

Gifts

Shopping our Gifts collection for someone else.

Yes — enter their address as the shipping address at checkout. Since a signature is required on delivery, let the recipient know a package is coming, or arrange pickup at a UPS location if you'd rather keep it a surprise.

Contact our customer service team when placing your order to ask about gift packaging or a price-free gift receipt for a specific item — availability can vary by piece.

Gifted items follow our standard 30-day return policy from the delivery date. Reach out to our team with the order number (the recipient doesn't need to be the original purchaser to start the process) and we'll help from there.

Yes — browse by occasion in our wedding, anniversary, birthday, Mother's Day, and Father's Day gift collections, or shop by recipient in Gifts For Her and Gifts For Him.

Design Your Own

Building a custom piece with our Design Your Own tool.

Start with a setting or a diamond, then choose your metal, stone, and finishing details step by step. Once you submit your design, our team reviews it and follows up if anything needs clarifying before production begins.

Yes — we offer Design Your Own Pendant and Design Your Own Earrings in addition to custom rings.

For a design outside our standard build options, contact our team directly with your idea, inspiration photos, or sketch, and we'll let you know what's possible.

Custom pieces take longer than our standard made-to-order timeline since they involve additional design review before production starts. Contact us for an estimate based on your specific design once details are finalized.

Ring Sizing

Quick answers — see our full Ring Size Guide for the complete US/UK/EU conversion chart and measuring instructions.

Use our free online Ring Size Guide, request a complimentary physical ring sizer mailed to you, or download our printable sizing chart. We also offer free resizing within the first 90 days of purchase.

Most women fall between US size 5 and 7; most men fall between US size 8 and 10. These are population averages, not a substitute for measuring your own finger.

Yes. We offer free resizing within the first 90 days: plain bands can typically be resized up to one full size larger or smaller, diamond rings up to about half a size (setting-dependent), and eternity bands generally cannot be resized and would need to be newly crafted instead. You're responsible for return shipping to us for a resize.

Plain and most classic bands in gold or platinum resize easily. Eternity bands, full pavé bands, and some heavily patterned styles have stones or texture running the full circumference, leaving no plain metal to adjust — these usually can't be resized, or only in a very limited way. Check with us before ordering if future resizing matters to you.

Our Ring Size Guide includes a full conversion chart between US, UK/Ireland/Australia, EU, and Japan sizing systems, along with diameter and circumference measurements in both mm and inches.

Shipping, Returns & Warranty

Our shipping, return, and lifetime warranty policies.

We offer a hassle-free 30-day return policy on all jewelry, with no restocking fees. Return the item in its original, unworn condition for a full refund to your original payment method (bank wire purchases are refunded by company check). Email service@loveweddingbands.com first to receive a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number before shipping anything back. See our full Return Policy for step-by-step instructions.

Yes, for domestic orders — we ship via free, fully insured UPS 2nd Day Air to the continental US, Alaska, and Hawaii, plus free USPS Priority Mail to APO/FPO/DPO military addresses. International shipping carries a flat rate: $60 USD to Canada or $90 USD to select other countries. See our Shipping Policy for full details.

Our Lifetime Warranty covers confirmed manufacturing defects — including prong tightening and stone loss caused by a defective setting — at no charge, plus complimentary cleaning, polishing, and prong inspection. White gold pieces also receive complimentary rhodium re-plating during the first year. It does not cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage, loss, or center stone loss, and any third-party repair voids coverage on the affected part. See the full Lifetime Warranty page for details.

Yes, an adult (18+) must sign for the package, and it can only be shipped to the address on file with your card issuer for security reasons. If you won't be available, we can arrange delivery to a UPS Customer Center or Access Point instead.

Contact us to describe the issue, then ship the item to us using an insured, trackable, signature-required method. If a manufacturing defect is confirmed, repairs and return shipping are free; if the issue falls outside the warranty (normal wear, third-party damage), we'll send a cost estimate for your approval before any work begins.

International orders can be returned within the same 30-day window, though you're responsible for return shipping, duties, and any related fees. Resizing is not available for international orders.

Wedding Traditions & Buying Guide

General guidance for choosing and wearing wedding jewelry.

In the US and many Western countries, wedding rings are worn on the left hand's ring finger — tied to the old belief in a "vena amoris," or vein of love, running from that finger to the heart. Some cultures, including Germany and Russia, traditionally wear it on the right hand instead.

There's no single rule — it's a personal decision. Many couples split the cost, others divide it based on income, and some follow older traditions where each partner buys the other's ring. Talk it through together and decide what works for your relationship and budget.

Wedding bands vary widely by metal, width, and detail, but a common range for a quality band is roughly $750 to $2,000. Balance the ring against your overall wedding budget rather than a fixed number — our Wedding Band Buying Guide can help you weigh the trade-offs.

Consider how it will look next to your engagement ring, your everyday lifestyle (diamonds and pavé settings need more careful cleaning and can't always be resized), and budget. Our Wedding Band Buying Guide and Men's Wedding Band Guide walk through the key decisions.

Soak it briefly in warm water with a few drops of mild dish soap, gently brush around the setting with a soft-bristled brush, then rinse over a closed drain or a bowl (never directly over an open sink drain) and pat dry with a lint-free cloth. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners on gemstones prone to fracturing, and see a jeweler for anything beyond routine dirt buildup.

The unbroken circle represents a bond with no beginning or end — a continuous, lifelong commitment between two people. It's one of the reasons wedding bands are worn daily, unlike an engagement ring that some remove for certain activities.
