Lab diamonds are chemically, optically, and physically identical to mined diamonds and are graded by the same standards (GIA, IGI). They typically cost 40–60% less than equivalent mined diamonds, allowing you to get significantly more diamond for the same budget.

 A standard 14-round-diamond half-eternity pave band in 3mm width typically contains 14–20 diamonds totaling 0.15–0.35 carats. A full-eternity pave band in the same width contains 22–28 diamonds totaling 0.25–0.50 carats. The exact count depends on diamond size and spacing.

 Diamonds cannot scratch other diamonds (unless a loose stone impacts another at exactly the right angle), and gold cannot scratch platinum. However, if your engagement ring has a softer setting style and your band has raised pave diamonds, the stones may catch.
